About Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ400

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ400 is based on Mitsubishi’s next-generation Evolution platform first previewed through the Concept-X and Prototype-X concept cars. The Evolution X features a 2.0L turbocharged all-aluminium inline-four engine combined with Mitsubishi’s advanced S-AWC all-wheel-drive system. UK FQ models were specially reworked by Mitsubishi UK, with performance versions ranging up to 400 hp.

The car was offered with either a 6-speed Twin Clutch SST transmission or a 5-speed manual gearbox depending on the version. It also introduced Mitsubishi’s SST twin-clutch transmission with steering-mounted magnesium alloy paddle shifters, replacing the older Tiptronic system used in previous Evolution generations. The Evolution X was released across Japan, North America, Canada, and Europe between 2007 and 2008, with later models adding premium features such as leather seats and a sunroof.
