Audi revealed the details of the RS 6 Avant on December 5, 2012. Its twin-turbo 4.0 L (3,993 cc) TFSI V8 engine develops 412 kW (560 PS; 553 bhp) at 5700–6600 rpm and 700 N⋅m (516 lb-ft) of torque at 1750–5500 rpm. This enables the RS 6 Avant to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 3.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155.3 mph) by default, but with the optional Dynamic or Dynamic Plus package, it increases to 280 km/h (174.0 mph) or 305 km/h (189.5 mph). Audi claims an average fuel consumption of 9.6 L/100 km and CO₂ emissions of 223 g/km. To achieve this, the car features a start-stop system and cylinder-on-demand technology, paired with an 8-speed tiptronic transmission.
Olsson’s first move was to extract significantly more power from the RS 6’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine. Extensive modifications include a pair of 18-karat gold anodized turbochargers and a straight-pipe race exhaust system designed by Milltek Sport. The result is an astonishing output of 950 horsepower on regular fuel and over 1,000 horsepower when running high-octane race fuel.
Performance figures for the modified version have not been officially published. However, for context, a stock RS 6 Avant already achieves 0–100 km/h in about 3.9 seconds-quicker than a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS.
The vehicle sits significantly lower than the standard model thanks to an upgraded suspension system featuring components from Intrax. To handle the immense power, upgraded Movit brakes are installed on all four corners. Despite these extreme modifications, the car remains fully street legal-at least in Sweden-and is even used as a daily driver.
Visually, this RS 6 is inspired by Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) race cars. It features a custom widebody kit with a deep carbon fiber front splitter, blacked-out grille, roof-mounted spoiler, and a large rear diffuser integrating dual oval exhaust outlets. Multi-spoke alloy wheels tucked under carbon fiber fender flares complete the aggressive, track-focused design.
For practicality, Olsson equipped the car with a clear-coated carbon fiber roof box developed by 56 Nord, designed specifically to carry skis while maintaining the car’s sleek look.
